I don't understand...

I don't understand...if people who run the world know that there are those who are dying and suffering either from disease, poverty or natural disasters - and if they know that the answer is more money - and if all they have to do is "make" (manufacture) more money to help those who need it, then why don't they just do that?

I don't understand.

Just "make" more money and distribute it.

Dude - or Dudette - don't pollute my blog with your bullshit. If you've got a sincere point to make, Herbie J is always open. If you're just promoting your own site - please don't.

I discussed this very subject with an economist friend of mine, Herbie, and he said exactly what ajcrane said, above. Money's value comes from its rarity. If we just printed more and handed it out to all the poor people (including myself) then it would cause a rippling effect that would eventually make bread cost $12 a loaf and a pack of gum cost $6. This is what's happened in Japan, where you need several thousand yen to buy the most basic necessities.
